I have always had a deep passion for art and design that began as early as I can remember. My first thrill came in 1st grade when I won the contest for the best-decorated Valentine’s Day box. I felt so excited and special. Shortly thereafter, I begged my Mother to redo my room with a white lacquered, four-poster bed and bright pink, floral wallpaper. Growing up with 7 siblings, each with their own individual needs, meant that we weren’t able to get everything we always wanted…so that wish never came true. But instead, I was lucky enough to enroll in as many art and design classes as I possibly could. I took classes in painting, sculpture, metalsmithing, and interior decorating. I also loved antiquing on weekends alongside my Mom, and still remember my first exciting purchase of a porcelain elephant figurine. My destiny in the design world was determined.
As the years went on, I knew design school was the only right option for me. I graduated from Drexel University at the top of my class with a B.S. in Interior Design. Several years later, after working at leading design firms, Lisa Stone Design, LLC opened its doors as a full service, high-end residential interior design firm. My goal has always been quite simple. I strive to create unique and original interiors that reflect my client’s taste, lifestyle and personality…interiors that are comfortable, meaningful and timeless…interiors that make the heart sing. Rather than imposing a signature style on a project, I take the necessary time required to thoroughly understand what each client needs and desires. That is truly what makes a space successful. It’s not about me…it’s always about you. Nothing makes me happier, or more satisfied, than using my diverse skill set to help my client’s dreams come true.
Viewing my portfolio, you will recognize one-of-a-kind, sophisticated rooms in varying design styles, which include transitional, traditional and modern interiors. My design skills, business knowledge and project management will allow you to be at ease so that the design process is full of excitement and promise. I welcome the opportunity to discuss your project no matter the size or complexity.
